RTM Assembler
Telford manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Resin Transfer Molding Assembler. This is a permanent/Direct Hire position. This is a union position.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in composites preferred.
Experience with RTM or other composite manufacturing processes.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Position Overview:
The RTM Assembler is responsible for assembling composite parts using Resin Transfer Molding techniques.
This role involves preparing molds, positioning reinforcements, injecting resin, and ensuring components meet quality and safety standards.
The ideal candidate will pay strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and experience in composite manufacturing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare molds and materials for RTM processes, including cleaning, applying release agents, and positioning preforms.
Unloads and maintains cured molds.
Assemble composite components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
Assembles routine units with a small number of details (IE: pumps, systems, filters).
Works with other related parts, materials and media for assemblies.
May also perform highly repetitive tests using standardized methods and procedures involving visual testing and checking.
Usually responsible for standardized operating methods on regular products (groups I and II).
May also repair a variety of parts suffering from cosmetic imperfections.
Hand sanding and oiling of parts.
May also grind various shaped parts of simple and routine form. Removing burrs and flashing using portable power and hand grinding tools.
May guide the efforts of others in the same or lower grade levels.
Must be able to work with little to no supervision and perform routine quality checks throughout the process.
Inject Resin into molds using RTM equipment and monitor curing cycles.
Inspect finished parts for defects, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
Maintain accurate production records and report any issues or deviations.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
With minimum supervision, prepares and loads fiberglass and or related materials in a variety of molds of various shapes.
Computer Skills: Including but not limited to Microsoft Office.
Other required skills: The ability to communicate with all levels of the organization. This position also requires a solid, self-directed individual who can excel both independently and as a team player in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Candidates must be able to complete tasks according to accepted levels of quality. Experience in a growing entrepreneurial company is preferred. Excellent work ethic, enthusiasm and positive energy.
