Bucks County manufacturer is an industry leader in flight vehicle transmitters and receivers used to transmit telemetry and command/control between various Aviation, Munitions, Space Launch vehicles/Satellites and the ground monitoring systems used in R&D and flight launch. These products offer their customers high reliability under some of the most extreme operating environments, with high efficiency, in small form factors.

Requirements include:

  • BSEE ( MSEE preferred)

  • 10-15 years of relevant experience in Aerospace/Defense Industries

  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

  • Well organized and detail-oriented team player but able to operate independently

  • Independent problem solver

  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to manage multiple projects

  • Ability to prepare organized and timely test and progress reports

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power-Point, Visio, Adobe Acrobat and Outlook email applications

  • Proficiency in design tools, such as Microwave Office, AutoCAD and PADS or Altium

  • Minimal travel required

  • Must be very comfortable working directly with the management team


Position will support all product life phases including:

  • Propose / Requirements Development/Architect

  • Design / Develop/Trade Analyses

  • Test / Evaluate / Prototype

  • Production Support / Failure analysis

  • Customer and Sales Support (Limited travel)

Candidate should have first-hand experience in:

  • RF development work in frequency ranges from UHF to C-Band, minimally

  • RF design studies and analysis (manually and with simulations tools)

  • Breadboarding and RFIC Component performance testing and evaluation

  • Prototyping and final design creation and support, including initial PCB layout guidance and review

  • Engineering documentation generation and support (Microsoft Office Suite of Tools)

  • Parts Selection and Bill of Materials generation and support

  • Test Plans and Reports

  • Engineering Review Packages, including customer attended design reviews and presentation

  • Production, Test, and Assembly documentation

  • Managing product testing both in-house and at third-party sub tiers

  • Design and development of RF Power Amplifiers, Modulators, Synthesizer/PLL, Splitters / Combiners

  • Legacy analog techniques, such as OP Amp filters and control circuits

  • Understanding and development of present-day digital RF modulation techniques

Ideal candidate would also have prior experience in, or a desire to learn, the following areas of expertise:

  • DC-DC Converter (Switch-Mode Power Supply) designs up to 100 Watts

  • Communications analysis, link margin, BER and Modulation Efficiency

  • Co-design and co-architect modern DSP based transmitters and receivers, working with an embedded/digital designer

  • Serial I/O protocols, such as RS-232, RS422/485, I2C, SPI, as well as Ethernet
