Industrial Machine Maintenance
North Wales manufacturing company is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Machine Maintenance person to support production floor machinery, lead equipment projects, and contribute to product and process development of the company. This role blends hands-on mechanical troubleshooting with design/development responsibilities, customer technical support, and vendor coordination. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, hands-on problem solver who is comfortable moving between the shop floor, the drawing board, and the phone with customers and suppliers.
This is a direct-hire position paying $70,720/year or $34/hr
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Mechanical
Troubleshoot, repair, and improve production floor machinery
Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel
Lead machinery projects from concept through completion
Manage spare parts inventory
Build parts assemblies
Set up and maintain a Preventive Maintenance program
Stamping die experience, a plus
Design & Development
Support product development initiatives
Build prototypes
Drive process machinery improvement and development
Manage projects from planning through execution
Create and update part drawings in AutoCAD
Maintain and control all drawings and prints
Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Customer Contact
Provide technical phone support for customers' machinery
Fill spare parts orders
Available for occasional travel
Vendor Contact
Coordinate with outside engineers and consultants
Work with outside tool and die shops
Verify quality of incoming parts
Provide technical input to suppliers
Other
Serve as backup for the supervisor
Assist with quality checks
Support the safety program
Required Abilities & Qualifications
Competent machinery mechanic with strong hands-on skills
Ability to read and interpret technical prints and drawings
Competence with AutoCAD
Familiarity with machine shop equipment
Strong communication skills
Strong follow-up skills
Detail-oriented
Self-directed and comfortable working hands-on
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand, bend, and work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods
Availability for occasional off-shift or on-call support, and occasional travel for customer support
