Overview
Lansdale area Engineering firm is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Drafter to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in drafting and design, utilizing various CAD software to create precise and accurate drawings for construction and engineering projects. This role is essential in translating concepts into detailed schematics that guide the construction process. Salary is $18-$25 hr.

Duties

• Develop detailed 2D models using AutoCAD and MicroStation software.

• Collaborate with engineers to understand project requirements and specifications.

• Create and modify schematics, and construction drawings.

• Ensure all designs adhere to DOT industry standards and regulations.

• Review project plans for accuracy and completeness before submission.

• Assist in the preparation of project documentation and reports.

• Participate in project meetings to discuss design progress and address any challenges.

Requirements

• Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD and MicroStation.

• Strong understanding of DOT principles and drafting techniques.

• Experience in creating construction documents and schematics.

• Knowledge of industry standards related to drafting and design.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual tasks effectively.

• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.

• Familiarity with 2D drafting required.

• A degree or certification in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field is preferred.
