The current low unemployment rate and high demand for workers is creating a very unusual environment. Job seekers want the application process to be quick, easy, engaging and of course mobile.

Companies are struggling to change their current processes to make the application and onboarding process easier. Employers are adding or updating their technology to make the hiring experience as seamless as possible. To make the situation worse, when job seekers accept an offer and the companies are running the pre-employment screenings, many job seekers are still looking for jobs. So for employers, you could be doing all this for nothing and you will have to start all over again.

Careerbuilder and Silkroad conducted a survey over the summer and just released the results. They are very revealing of what kind of employment market we are dealing with this year.
