Job Seeker FAQs

How soon can I start working?

Job availability changes on a daily basis. Once our application process is complete, you will be considered based on your preferences and your skills. You will then be offered appropriate positions. There is no guarantee that we will find you employment.

What is involved in the application process?

You will need to come into our office and register with McCallion Staffing. You will be asked to provide complete work history information. You will discuss your preference of shift, type of work and preference of location during the interview with your recruiter.

You will also have the opportunity to discuss what vocational skills you have and what you are looking for in your next position. The recruiter will discuss not only what specific skills you have, but also find out more about your experiences in job-related settings.

Once you have completed the interview, you may be asked to do some computer testing to determine skill levels. McCallion Staffing Specialists does reference checks with previous employers and other references provided by applicants. Once reference information is complete, you will be offered jobs based on all the factors of your interview process.

Do I need to bring anything with me when I register?

You must bring a copy of your resume and two forms of identification. A driver’s license and either a social security card, birth certificate or passport will suffice.

If I am placed on an assignment through McCallion Staffing, who is my legal employer?

McCallion Staffing is your legal employer if you are placed on a temporary or temporary-to-hire assignment. Your paychecks will come from McCallion Staffing on a weekly basis. If you need to call out of work, get hurt on the job, or end the assignment, please contact someone at McCallion Staffing immediately.

What do I pay for your services?

As an applicant, you will not pay for any of the services McCallion Staffing Specialists provides.

When is my timecard due?

We pay our temporary employees on a weekly basis. If you are enrolled in online timecards, you must have your hours submitted electronically no later than 12:00 p.m. every Monday. Paper timecards are due no later than 9:00 a.m. every Tuesday morning.

How can I be successful while on an assignment through McCallion Staffing?

Excellent attendance, punctuality, hard work and a good attitude can go a long way! The majority of our temporary employees who practice these three attributes always receive excellent feedback upon completion of their assignment, and some of them are even converted to a permanent employee.
